JOHN N.SAMUELS - BELBODA CHAPTER St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 5301 Free Pike, Dayton, OH 45426
… is an international ministry of men within the Anglican Communion dedicated to bringing men and boys to Jesus Christ. It is the oldest evangelistic ministry of the Episcopal Church.
The Brotherhood was incorporated by an Act of the U.S. Congress signed on May 30, 1908 by President Theodore Roosevelt. The act stated, “the sole object of said corporation shall be spread of God’s Kingdom among men.”
Members are called Brothers Andrew and are required to accept and observe the Brotherhood disciplines of Prayer, Study, and Service. Brotherhood chapters usually meet once or twice per month in Episcopal and Anglican churches. A portion of each meeting is devoted to each of the disciplines of Prayer, Study, and Service. Minister Roger DeCarlo Stowe was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where he lives today. He is the second of five children. He was raised in a single parent household by an outstanding woman of faith, who persevered many struggles of despair. He is a graduate of Columbus East High School and Columbus State Community College.
As a young man, Roger developed a close relationship with his Grandmother. Her only activity after taking care of her family was to be involved in every aspect of the church and since Roger was her eldest grandson and showed an affinity for the word, he became her church partner.
Having received a calling to ministry, the Gospel became his life and Roger began to model his life after the words of Luke 12:48; When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
Roger was licensed by the Baptist Denomination and the State of Ohio and then ordained at an early age. As the youth minister for Union Grove Baptist Church, he was instrumental in growing the youth program and ministry.
Some of Roger’s notable services includes serving as the Director of Minority Affairs under the Treasurer for the State of Ohio, Director of the Southside Center Neighborhood Action Center, Columbus Metropolitan Area and the Executive Director, Mt. Vernon Ave. District Improvement Association Inc.
He has held numerous management positions and is an experienced political commentator, which is a greatly sought-after motivational speaker for civic, social and community organizations throughout the State of Ohio.
Roger is please to share his knowledge of the Bible and how it relates to these unprecedented times.
