Acolytes, are school age children who are members of this Parish. The Trainees are versed and tested in text book knowledge and procedures in serving the several duties of Acolytes for each type of service used at St Margaret's Church they are trained in such a way that they can be comfortable serving with a visiting  celebrant whose procedures during the Mass may vary from those practiced  by our own Priest. Upon completion of the training. Acolytes trainees undergo a one hour vigil at the altar rail in the darkened church to meditate and pray shortly before their graduation. 

The Ushers and Greeters Ministry has been a visible participant in the Sunday Services. We welcome any one who has a desire to become a part of this ministry, adults as well as youth, so please step forward. Welcome to Marjorie Gardner, the newest usher to join this ministry.

The Ushers and Greeters are available whenever needed for funerals and other church events. We have also participated in the Dayton Caravan Lenten Services serving as Ushers when scheduled.

Chalice Bearers are licensed by the Diocese of  Southern Ohio as Lay Eucharistic Ministers to assist the Priest in the administration of the Sacrament of Holy Communion during the Mass. Certain Lay Eucharistic Ministries are also authorize to administer the Sacraments to sick and shut-in parishioners with the specific permission of the Priest. The Chalice Bearers have been trained to perform the duties of Acolytes to further assist the Priest during the Mass.  

Our altar guild members are very dedicated and faithful, serving God through this ministry. The Altar Guild is always looking for women or men who can dedicate eight to ten hours every three months to maintaining one of the most sacred places in the church. In addition to communion every Sunday, we prepare for funerals, Baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and other special services that the Priest deems necessary.
